Leaked iOS 7.0.1 Will Address Bug Fixes, Enhancements [PIC]

It’s a no-brainer Apple already has future versions of iOS 7 in the works and now BGR reports it has their hands on iOS 7.0.1 already, which the site says is an update “for minor bug fixes and enhancements.” As for iOS 7.1, that could also debut at Apple’s rumoured October special event to unveil new iPads.

BGR also goes on to say their sources have confirmed what everyone has already suspected: iPhone 5s stocks are “severely constrained” which is why carriers and Apple have been unable to offer pre-orders, to ensure sufficient stock on the September 20 launch day.

For the first time ever, I installed the GM of an OS before it was officially available, and I really like iOS 7 on my old, decrepit iPhone 4. I can’t wait to try it on my forthcoming 5S. Honestly, I think the biggest change in iOS 7 is that there’s been significant enough improvement in some of the stock apps (camera, weather, to name 2) that you don’t need 3rd party apps anymore.

Great to hear. How do you find the performance on your iPhone 4? Just curious, cuz it is a 3-year old device.

The performance is fine. There’s no noticeable lag and in some ways it feels faster than iOS6, but that may be because I set it up as a new device when I installed the GM of 7, so I probably scrubbed off 3 years of weighed down app crud from my phone.

I’m in the same boat (iPhone4+iOS7GM) and I love it. Just as fast as the last version of 6 on this device. I will, however be getting a new 5s on friday.

Most of the “cool features” or graphic intensive features such as parallax and blurring are disabled on iPhone 4 because it can’t handle. It used to be so slow.. but on GM build, apple made it faster (wayyyyy faster if you compared it to the beta 1).

I bet the bugs they are talking about are to stop “jailbreaking” iOS devices as someone on twitter supposedly leaked that guy who hacked 6.1.4’s source code all over twitter few days ago.
