Virgin Mobile Promo: $40 Canada-Wide Plan, 5PM Evenings, 400MB Data

Virgin Mobile has launched a new $40/month Silver Plan today available throughout Canada with the following details:

  • 400 daytime minutes
  • 5pm evenings and weekends
  • Canada-wide calling
  • Unlimited SMS/MMS
  • Caller ID, voicemail
  • 400MB of data ($10/400MB overages)

A similarly priced $40 plan from Fido and Koodo only offers 200 minutes and 200MB of data, while this Virgin plan doubles that. Let us know if you’re going to jump on this.

Thanks CB!

Just called Virgin and checked the website, they have no record of this promo. I’m in Ontario.

It’s probably too ‘new’ and they can’t find it. I’d call back. It’s located here under Silver Plans, as stated: http://www.virginmobile.ca/en/plans/silver.html?itcid=LP:142

Aha, I see it ONLY when I select my Province as BC. Are you sure this is Canada-wide?

Still sucks that users are be suckered into having to pay way too much $$$ for data.

I’m still not seeing this deal. I see the $40 plan with 200 minutes and 200 mb of data, but not the 400 minutes and 400 mb deal that the article talks about. Was it only available for the one day or something? Or is it still too early for some regions? Like quanta who posted earlier, I also live in Ontario.

Virgin charges $0.25/min for call forwarding and eliminated the option to get the $3/month call forwarding add-on. Very expensive and going to cost more in the long run
