Apple Updates App Store Guidelines With Enforced Rules Against Low-Effort Apps
Within the App Store Guidelines support page, Apple urges developers not to "submit apps that are indistinguishable from what's already widely available."
Instapaper Currently a Free Download for the First Time Ever [u]
Instapaper is a service created by Marco Arment to enable you to save articles to read later. It first hit the App Store back in spring of 2010 and debuted at $4.99. Arment sold Instapaper to Betaworks (the owners of Digg) back in April of this year and since then it has ranged from $2.99 to $3.99, but as of now, it’s currently available for free for the first time ever in the App Store.
Instapaper Core Features:
– Save most web pages as text only, stripping away the full-sized layout to optimize for the iPhone and iPad screens.
– Store up to 500 articles on your iPhone or iPad, and store unlimited articles on the Instapaper website.
– Read offline, even on airplanes, subways, on elevators, or on Wi-Fi-only devices away from Internet connections.
– Send to Instapaper from 150 other iPhone and iPad apps.
If you’ve always wanted to try out Instapaper, this is your chance to do so and own it. Personally, I’m using Pocket as my ‘read it later’ service as I prefer their interface over Instapaper. What’s your ‘read it later’ service of choice?

Yep. Just find Pocket’s interface much better.
Pocket versus Instapaper is a matter of preference. I prefer Instapaper because it’s very minimalist, has MUCH better typography, and uses folders instead of tags for organization.
Again, very much a personal thing.
