iTunes 11.1.5 Download for Mac/Windows Released, Fixes Crash Issue
Apple has released a minor iTunes update, version 11.1.5 which fixes an issue with iTunes that causes it to quit when a device is connected and the release notes also mention improved compatibility with iBooks for Mac on OS X Mavericks.
The update is propagating and you can get it from the Mac App Store or by downloading it here.
