iOS 7.1 Said to “Ship Any Day Now” In Time for iTunes Festival at SXSW

John Gruber from Daring Fireball says his sources tell him iOS 7.1 is set to release any day now, in time for the iTunes Festival at SXSW which will be streamed live via  a free iOS app which will require the newest version of the operating system:

Apple’s first iTunes Festival in the U.S. starts a week from today at SXSW in Austin. Apple is going to stream the performances to iOS devices using an app, but I’ve heard from a little birdie that the app requires iOS 7.1 (which explains why the app isn’t out yet). That means iOS 7.1 should ship any day now.

Previous reports have pegged iOS 7.1 to also release in March. Currently, developers have access to iOS 7.1 beta 5, which was released one month ago. There hasn’t been a GM seed yet, which marks the first time a x.1 release goes straight to a public release:
