Untethered iOS 7.1.1 Jailbreak Released by Chinese Hackers [VIDEO]
A group of Chinese hackers who call themselves Pangu just made the untethered iOS 7.1.1 jailbreak a reality. To confirm the veracity of the jailbreak, the hackers demoed it on an iPad Air running iOS 7.1.1 (via iPhoneItalia).
While the website says the jailbreak tool is for both Mac OS and Windows, it is currently limited to Windows computers, since the Mac OS download link is not active yet. The Pangu team pushed out their jailbreak tool today, so little has been said so far about it.
However, two active figures of the jailbreak community have already expressed their thoughts. The first comment came from i0n1c or Stefan Esser, who was surprised to see that the Pangu team was using his course and the infoleak bug to develop this tool. By the way, the Chinese hackers credit i0n1c for the training and the bug.
Ohmy pangu team releasing a jailbreak after attending my training class. I guess after 1 year they will leak my bugs?

FTR: if pangu team releases a public jailbreak with vulnerabilities disclosed to them during my training I consider this in no way okay.

The second comment came from iH8sn0w, who confirmed to iPhone in Canada the legitimacy of the jailbreak.
Aside from the piracy store and enterprise certificate… The http://t.co/R6FhChhJPN jailbreak does not have “spyware” or malicious trails.

However, he did point out that it ships with a piracy store and enterprise certificate.
As a result, for those eager to jailbreak their devices, we can say, based on iH8sn0w’s remarks, that this is a legit jailbreak, but we recommend proceeding with caution.
