Amazon Launches Unlimited eBooks Service from Any Device for $9.99 in the U.S.

Kindle unlimited

Amazon today announced Kindle Unlimited, a new subscription service that provides access to over 600,000 Kindle books, along with thousands of Audible audiobooks, for a fixed fee of $9.99 per month. The new service is available on all Kindle devices as well as the Kindle app for iOS or Mac OS X.

The Kindle Unlimited service allows users to read bestsellers such as The Hunger Games, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, and The Lord of the Rings, and trending audiobooks such as The Handmaid’s Tale and Water for Elephants.

Alongside unlimited reading, and listening, the new service includes Kindle exclusives, short reads, and a free three-month Audible membership.

The online retail giant is also offering a 30-day free trial, which includes all the aforementioned services. If they you like the service you can continue using it after the trial expires for $9.99 per month, and it’s your choice if you want to continue with an additional paid Audible membership.

Kindle Unlimited is currently US-only, but we are hoping the service will make it to Canada as well, since the company has been improving Amazon.ca with recent introductions of Amazon Family (20% off diaper subscriptions) and Amazon Student programs (50% off Prime memberships).
