iOS 8.0.1 Download Coming Soon, Will Fix the Following Bugs [LIST]

With every iOS x.0 release, there are always bugs to address and with iOS 8, there’s no exception. According to MacRumors, a carrier source reports the update has already been provided and will address the following bugs:
- Phone: Addresses bugs with call forwarding and freezing when accessing visual voicemail
- Keyboard: Fixes an issue with keypad not appearing to enter iCloud Keychain verification codes
- Safari: Fixes a problem with videos occasionally not playing
- Sharing: Fixes AirDrop support for Passbook passes
- VPN: Addresses an issue with installing VPN profiles
The bugs listed above are most likely just a small number that will be addressed. Numerous users have reported battery drain issues with their iPhone 6 Plus in iOS 8 (such as yours truly), along with other issues related to Wi-Fi and more.
There’s no set date for iOS 8.0.1’s release; but last year, Apple released iOS 7.0.2 one week after iOS 7, so if history repeats itself, an iOS 8 update could arrive tomorrow or sometime this week.

My battery seems to be doing ok. I always have crappy battery life so this is surprising.
When it works you should notice its better then 5,5s, and 4. not much more then the 5 if you have the six.
My iPhone 6 battery lasts twice as long as my 5s. Usually by the end of the day I would be under 20% for sure. With the 6, I’m at about 65% at the end of the day and I’m a pretty heavy user
Unfortunately, they need to address a whole lot more than this pretty soon. At least they’ve kept the 7.1.2 signing window open in the interim.
on my iPhone 6 i’ve encountered:
-Keyboard not appearing
-Keyboard saying it needs full access after restart (until I turn full access off and back on)
-Bluetooth to my pebble and car stopped working until I turned the devices off and on again (not the phone but the pebble and car)
-Graphical problems with dictation on apps that haven’t been updated for iOS 8 yet
-Globe icon not appearing on keyboard
And more I can’t remember…
It’s as if they never test this stuff before releasing it.
The custom keyboard issue drives me nuts.
My wifi is screwed on my plus. It seems like it will work for a bit then it will lock up. Then when I go into settings I get a white screen. If I do get past the white screen and I’m able to turn off wifi my phone will blue screen and reset itself. It’s done this like 4 times now. I’ve just restored to keeping wifi off. Blah.
Try doing Reset All Settings to fix battery issues. Worked for me!
My car bluetooth is confused now 🙁 used to browse my iphone’s music and call without a problem…
So Gary, even hard reboot hasn’t solved your issue? will they take it back for a new one for you?
Settings/general/spotlight settings
Grab the right handle on the last item (Bing web results) and try to move it up.
Poof goes settings app back to desktop
This truly is an advantage of iOS. I’ve had bugs on my Nexus phone since the last update, which was months ago. In iOS, bugs get fixed fast.
I don’t know if this is iOS 8 related or not but only got the phone three days the top half of the screen sometimes will shift itself down to the bottom half of the screen vertically and leaving the blackened area not clickable/responsive. It usually moves itself up back in few seconds but it is getting quite annoying right now.
Are you sure you’re not double tapping the home button?? There’s a new feature in ios 8 for people that have trouble reaching icons with one hand on the bigger phones… if you double tap the home button the screen/icons shift down so you can reach them. Double tap again and the screen moves back up. That’s what this sounds like to me.
hmm I’ve disabled that in setting just now so we’ll see if this issue comes back but I think that’s what it is 😀 thanks!
My main issue is the Wi-Fi connection on both my iPad Air and my iPhone 6 that looses connection or never find the signal. I haveto restart or manually go to settings. So frustating as you don’t necessarely see it and you get on your data plan and pay extra. Other than that, AirDrop issue also. But fix the damn Wi-Fi !
My photos app crashed everytime i opened it in IOS8. My problem started when i opened iphoto in ios 8 and it told me that it now doesnt exist anymore and also asked me if i wanted my photos transfered to the photos app. I pressed yes and it crashed. I then couldnt open the photos app anymore. Tried reboot, hard reboot nothing worked. Everytime i opened photos i could see the transfer starting and crash again. I then used ifunbox and went into my raw file system and removed some files related to iphoto. And started working right away.
when I pick up a phone call on 5s even though I answered it it continues to ring/vibrate for another second or so…it’s annoying as you bring it your ear it still rings 🙁
On my iPhone 6 Plus when the phone auto shut off at 0% battery, the little ‘plug lightning cable to charge battery’ graphic is no longer showing. Anyone else??
1. Has anyone had any issues with searching for messages within the Messaging App? when i look for a contact nothing comes up
2. When dialing a number, the tone continues continously like I am pressing on it …
3. Keyboard disappears, have to hard reset.
