Loved and used by millions. Try 1Password today!

STAY SECURE WITH 1PASSWORD

Every day there are new passwords to remember. If you create new ones they are often forgotten. If you use the same passwords over and over again you become vulnerable. 1Password solves all these problems.

? Create strong, unique passwords for every site
? Secure your data behind a single Master Password
? Protect yourself with tamper-proof Authenticated 256-bit AES Encryption
? Auto-Lock keeps your data protected even if your Mac is lost or stolen
? Use Security Audit to make your passwords stronger

1Password is our most recommended Mac app. If you already have the iOS version (which went freemium), the Mac version is a must-have companion app. While this discount doesn’t match previous 50% off sales, it’s a good time to pick it up if you’ve been waiting for a deal. 1Password 5.0 for Mac was released today as an update for OS X Yosemite.

Wait a second.. i might be missing something! I downloaded free app on iOS for 1Password and then downloaded 1Password for Mac directly from their website for free. Why do we need to pay $35 for the Mac app?

You need a license to extend use beyond 30 days on your Mac. It is a free download, but will only work for the trial period initially.

Alternatively, it can be downloaded directly from the AgileBits website for even cheaper if used with this coupon code: MacPowerUsers. Further discount available for educational license (student or faculty members). Priced at $22.39 if you combine both!

If you download the one from Agilebits, it will not give you the option to sync with iCloud.

Thanks. I had no idea. After just delving into it some more, I discovered that you can still use Dropbox to accomplish the same thing. I have the latest iOS version of 1Password but am still on version 3 on the Mac. Last time I checked, syncing with V3 was turned off, so I’m happy to have it back.

I’m running 4.4 on my Mac which still allows syncing thru iCloud Drive. On my ip6, I’m on the latest version and it syncs thru iCloud also.

There’s no special upgrade price from 4 to 5, right? I wish they would be ,more clear on that every year.

It’s not a bad price for a piece of software I use daily. Since I bought it from the App store, our family gets to use it too on their Mac’s.
