Apple’s Free App of the Week is Swype Keyboard ($0.99 value)
Apple’s free App of the Week is Nuance’s Swype keyboard, a worthy third party keyboard for iOS 8. We noted the freebie on Wednesday and guessed it would be the freebie of the week, which turned out to be true (we’re psychic).
Swype is normally $0.99 and this marks the first time it has gone free in the App Store. Out of our quick comparisons with rival keyboard apps SwiftKey and Fleksy, we picked Swype as the best of the bunch, as it was more accurate plus it doesn’t require full keyboard access to work.

While we don’t use Swype as our primary keyboard, it does come in hand when we require quick one-handed typing on the iPhone 6 Plus.
Click here to download Swype in the App Store while it’s free until next Thursday.

Awesome keyboard! Although they need to figure out a better way to handle emotions.
Makes one hand typing so much easier.
The one big thing that annoys me about it is though the lack of dictation 🙁
Lack of dictation is apparently an Apple restriction, which frankly I don’t understand. Unlike restricting password field inputs, why not allow a Siri/dictation key?
