Alleged Samsung Galaxy S6 Leak Looks Just Like the iPhone 6 [PICS]
The first photos of the Samsung Galaxy S6 metal frame have been leaked. The new images show the rear casing of Samsung’s next-generation smartphone, which looks similar to Apple’s iPhone 6.
Samsung’s Galaxy S6 appears to have an all-metal unibody design, similar to that of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. The Korean smartphone giant will have to step up their game if they want to compete with Apple’s world-class design.
The top of the metal frame shows plastic cutouts for the antennas, a secondary microphone for noise cancelation and a spot for an IR blaster. The right side holds the cutout for the SIM tray and power/lock button, while the left side only holds a slot for the volume rocker.
The bottom of the frame shows a spot for a microUSB port, 3.5mm headphone jack, the main microphone, and a single speaker grille.
Rumours suggest that Samsung’s next flagship smartphone will include a Quad HD (2,560 x 1,440) display, an improved 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and the same camera sensor found on the Note 4. The company is also looking to include Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 810 processor to take advantage of Android 5.0 Lollipop’s 64-bit capabilities.
The report notes that the base model of the Galaxy S6 with 32GB of memory will cost 749€ for the unlocked version. The 64GB and 128GB model of the smartphone will sell for 849€ and 949€, respectively. The device will reportedly be offered in dark blue, blue-green, gold, and white.
Samsung will reveal all the details about their upcoming flagship smartphone at its Unpacked event on March 1 in Barcelona. The company will be live streaming the event, which is set to start at 12:30pm EST, on their YouTube channel.
