Estimated Shipping Dates for the 42mm Apple Watch Slip to July
Apple’s online store in Canada, along with storefronts in the U.S., Europe, and Asia, is now showing July shipping estimates for the 42mm Apple Watch Sport and stainless steel Apple Watch models.
Now that we are in the month of May, it is likely that Apple has simply moved its original June estimates for the 42mm watch models to July in order to remain conservative. Many initial pre-orders of the Apple Watch with initial shipping dates of 4-6 weeks or later have already been shipped or delivered.
Several of the 38mm Apple Watch Sport and Apple Watch models have been changed to a 2-3 week shipping estimate, while the others have maintained their original June estimate.
Earlier this week, it was reported that a Taptic Engine defect may have contributed to Apple Watch supply constraints. However, the reports note that the issue was caught before any units were shipped to customers.

42mm SS w/ black sport band ordered at 1:58am Pacific Time on April 10. Still waiting (May 20 – June 1).
42mm SS BSB ordered 12:08 on preorder day have a ship date of May 20 to June 1st
Still no movement for me on my Space Grey Sport. I was given a delivery date of May 13-26 despite ordering just a few minutes after the site went live. I was hoping to get it by end of next week so I could take it with me when I fly to the US on the 9th, but it doesn’t appear that’s going to happen. 🙁
I ordered 42mm SS BSB at 9AM eastern time on April 10th (USA). My ship dates May-13 through May 27. I cancelled my original order for Space Gray Sport with BSB at 4AM and went with the SS case instead. This probably set me back a bit of time.
