DIY: How to Modify your Apple Watch Box into a Charging Stand [VIDEO]
If you own the stainless steel Apple Watch, your box does not come built-in with a charger like the luxurious Apple Watch Edition’s box. But for the do-it-yourselfers out there, it is possible to modify your box for a custom charging solution, so that pretty packaging doesn’t go to waste.

YouTube user Joe Arnold has posted a quick guide of how he was able to modify his Apple Watch box to integrate the charging cable, with the help of his Dremel.
If you have an Apple Watch Sport, you can try making your own basic stand with floral foam and some fabric by following the tutorial here.
Update: Here’s a video of the Apple Watch Sport box being modded to do the same thing (thanks Chris):

While I don’t have an Apple Watch (of any model), I saw this video posted and thought this was a neat modification for the Sport model box.

Thanks Chris, added to the post.
looks cool but still sorta sloppy 🙁
Yeah definitely could be cleaner that’s for sure, possibly rushed to be uploaded to YouTube.
Even though I have the apple watch, I couldn’t possibly damage the case like that. What if I want to travel with it?
