Latest Samsung Ad Mocks iPhone Users as Cable-Fumbling Idiots [VIDEO]

Samsung is back with another ad targeting iPhone users, this time mocking them for constantly fumbling with cables to charge their device, while looking like clumsy idiots in the process.

The 30-second ad spot below highlights the built-in wireless charging feature of the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge (the wireless charger base is $60 extra) as a seamless solution versus those darn ‘wall hugging’ iPhone users.

The Apple Watch debuted with wireless charging, so it’s not too far-fetched to assume the feature will eventually make its way to the iPhone too.

Apple’s Ad department should take the low road for a change.

While I’d love to see wireless charging (in an open standard) on the iPhone, they’re really stretching the apparent arduous nature of wired charging with this ad.

With my nexus 5 wireless charging was great. I had a $10 charging pad on my night stand and one at work. My phone rarely dropped below 75% with this sort of convenience.

Have used both phones, and find the Lightning connector much simpler to use than the USB. I see no need to spend multiples of $60 for wireless charging devices, when suitable cables are pretty much ubiquitous. Until wireless charging stations are found in public places, I’ll likely stick to using a wire.
