Facebook Brings New Controls to Improve News Feed Experience [VIDEO]

Social networking giant Facebook has today introduced redesigned and expanded News Feed Preferences to further improve and personalize your experience, giving you even more control over your Facebook News Feed. You can now prioritize stories from particular pages and friends, easily find new pages to connect and follow, and also quickly hide unwanted contact from your News Feed.

Newsfeed preferences follow unfollow

Select friends and Pages to see first

The new Facebook News Feed controls let you select which friends and Pages you would like to see at the top of your Feed. Simply tap on a friend’s profile picture to see their posts first. You will then see any new stories they’ve shared since your last visit to Facebook at the top of News Feed, with a star in the top right of their post.

Find new Pages to connect

Based on the types of Pages you’ve liked in the past, you can now easily discover new Pages in order to get more of the stories you care about.

Select which friends and Pages to unfollow

Users can now see a list of the top people, Pages and groups they’ve seen in their News Feed over the past week, and choose to unfollow any friend, Page or group if they don’t want to see their updates.

The new ways to control your Facebook News Feed will begin rolling out on iOS today.
