Wunderlist Update Brings Smart Due Dates, Duplicate Lists and More

Popular to-do list app Wunderlist, that was acquired by Microsoft last month, has today announced five ‘time-saving’ new features for its apps across various desktop and mobile platforms. From Smart Due Dates to the ability to quickly duplicate your lists, Wunderlist claims that today’s update has something new for everyone and will help users get more stuff done.

To help capture both your to-dos and their Due Dates in a more natural way, Wunderlist is bringing Smart Due Dates. The Smart Due Dates feature detects words like ‘today’, ‘Monday’, ‘next week’ etc. as you type, and then saves you time by automatically adding a Due Date to your to-do. The feature is built into iOS app’s Quick Add button and is rolling out to Wunderlist for Web and Chrome as well.

Similarly, users can now quickly duplicate a list by clicking on the Action Bar > More > Duplicate List. When it comes to copying to-dos, it’s just as easy. Simply select the ones you need and then click on Action Bar > More > Copy. Furthermore, Wunderlist is also making it possible for users to restore their deleted lists from the last 30 days. 

“Up till now, it’s been a little too easy to let Due Dates come and go. So to help make sure you get the stuff done that you really need to, we’ve added some new nifty little overdue counters that will show up right on your list. 

You’ll still see your overdue to-dos in the Today and Week Smart Lists, but the new overdue counters let you see at a glance, exactly which lists need your attention. It’s especially helpful if you’re on a mobile device where you can get a clear overview of your most pressing to-dos”.
