With the Pan Am games coming to a close in Toronto, Uber has released some stats about its ridesharing service during the event.

Uber’s most recent initiative was during the Pan Am games. During the event the company debuted UberPool, which is a car pooling trial that allowed passengers to use the high-occupancy-vehicle (HOV) lanes on Toronto’s highways.

Th company says that about 17,500 people used the service during the two-week period where HOV lanes required three or more people to be present in the vehicle. Uber said that the service was used the most during rush hours. Uber concentrated its trips in Toronto’s downtown core and on the surrounding highways.

Earlier this month, an Ontario court ruled in favour of Uber’s ridesharing service in Toronto. The court dismissed the city’s case to shut down Uber. The decision means that you can continue to use Uber’s safe, reliable, and affordable rides throughout Toronto. Uber says they are excited to continue working with Mayor John Tory and Toronto City Council.
