MTS to Expand HSPA and LTE Wireless Service to Piney

MTS has announced its HSPA and LTE wireless network will expand to the Rural Municipality of Piney in Manitoba, located roughly 130 kilometres southeast from Winnipeg and about 5 kilometres from the American border.

Jay Forbes, CEO of MTS said “I’m delighted to announce that we will expand wireless services to Piney, MB,” while also noting “The Piney expansion adds to the MTS wireless network which now covers 98% of the population in Manitoba.”

The regional carrier says over 1 million Manitobans now have access to its 4G LTE network.
