New Apple TV Gets First Unboxing Video, Shows Off Packaging, Device and Remote
Despite not arriving until the end of October, YouTuber Andru Edwards has gotten his hands on the fourth-generation Apple TV and has posted the first unboxing video of the device.
The video offers a glimpse at the new packaging for Apple’s latest set-top box. The new Apple TV’s packaging is black and features a picture of the top of the device on the top of the box.
Once opened, the user is presented with the new Apple TV box and Siri remote. Underneath those two items are a Lightning cable to charge the new remote and a power cable for the set-top box itself.
Edwards, who claims that he received his Apple TV on the day of Apple’s “Hey Siri” event, then provides an in-depth look at both the device and remote. Here is the entire unboxing video:

The new fourth-generation Apple TV will be available at the end of October, and will be priced at $149 for the 32GB model and $199.99 for the 64GB model.

Plug it in and turning it on would also have been very nice you know 😉
Does anyone know if we will be able to hook up an external HDD through the USB-C connection? I would like to use it as a media player.
No external HDD through the USB-C. Too bad you can’t at least charge the remote through the USB-C connector… but alas… it apparently won’t supply power.
