Quebec Launches New ‘Shocking’ Anti-Texting and Driving Ads [VIDEO]

The Societe d l’assurance automobile Quebec (SAAQ) has launched a couple new anti-texting and driving ads, meant to curb distracted driving. They will air on French-language TV and radio and English radio, until October 18.

The first video has the man saying “I know I shouldn’t do this, but I can’t stop myself from texting”, while the bleeding girl then says “I know my parents will be sad, but I can’t stop myself from dying.”

The SAAQ says although the majority of Quebecers recognize the dangers of texting while driving, a large portion of drivers cannot resist doing so, as dependence on technology now poses danger to road safety.

Earlier this year, a Quebec man was fined $120 for using Apple Watch while driving.

I must say that they did a good job. It is getting worst on the road because of cell phone… and I’m kind of part of that 🙁

they are awesome imo. Having a daughter myself make the one with the kid even more powerful. Unfortunately, the ads don’t make any difference as young drivers don’t care and too much of them think it only happen to others
