Rogers NHL GameCentre Live Launches $29.99 Monthly Pass for 2015-16

NHL

The official app from the National Hockey League (NHL) has been updated today to bring Google Chromecast support within the iOS apps (Android as well) and a new “Video” section, which is limited to tablets and gives fans access to behind-the-scenes content, as Rogers sets the scene for the 2015-16 season.

This year, Rogers NHL GameCentre Live will deliver more than 1,000 regular-season games alongside the 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs, 2016 Stanley Cup Final, 2016 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic, and 2016 NHL All-Star Game.

If you are fast enough, you may be able to secure your full-season pass at the early-bird price, which is $179.99. The sale ends today.

Otherwise, you will have various options:
– pay the full price of $199.99
– choose a half-season pass ($129.99, available January 1, 2016)
– choose the NHL French Package ($59.99, includes up to 60 regional Montreal Canadiens and 60 regional Ottawa Senators regular-season games airing on RDS)
– choose the Stanley Cup Playoffs Pass ($74.99, available mid-March 2016)
– choose the newly introduced monthly pass, which means a recurring $29.99 monthly subscription

If you happen to be a Rogers customer with a Share Everything plan or two-year Rogers Ignite bundle, you are among the lucky ones who will have access to the full season for free.

While the NHL app has been pushed out in various countries, it isn’t available for download in Canada yet but should be soon.

I want to watch Leaf games and Leaf games only … Why would I want to pay $200 for content I won’t use? Furthermore, half the Leaf games are blacked out because TSN carries them so why waste my money Rogers? (At the end of the day the Leafs are going to be pretty sad this year … Go Jays Go)
