TELUS, Videotron Named Part of ‘Canada’s Best Brands 2016’

Canadian Business has released a list of the top 25 Best Brands in Canada. The list is a result of a survey of a nationally representative sample of 1,868 Canadians conducted by the Rogers Consumer Insights Team.

Canadian telecommunications giant Telus has placed 21st on the list. The report notes that the company ranked in the top 25 because they put their ego aside where its brand is concerned. For 14 years, the company has focused on its animal-themed advertising strategy.

Videotron has also ranked among the top 25 brands in Canada, coming in at number 7. The company has worked hard for years to rebrand itself. From a smart logo update to sleek retail stores to its effervescent advertising, the company acts like a competitor when it doesn’t have to making it the number one choice of telecom providers for customers in Quebec.

The survey was performed online in May 2015 and seeks five key aspects of a company’s reputation, including the quality of its products and/or services, its customer service, its commitment to innovation, community involvement, and the person’s overall view of the brand.

In order for any company to appear on the list, it must have originated in Canada, have a broad consumer profile, and have a significant presence in two or more regions across the country.
