Apple Announces March 21 Special Event, Tagline “Let Us Loop You In”
Looks like Apple has sent out media invites for their March media event, set to take place on the 21st, as we all expected. Tech Insider shared an image of the invitation which reads “Let us loop you in.”:
Apple sent out invitations for an event on March 21 where it’s expected to announce a new iPhone called the iPhone SE. The event will be at Apple’s campus in Cupertino, [California] at 10 a.m. Pacific.

Apple is expected to unveil a new 4-inch ‘iPhone SE’, which will be an update to the iPhone 5s but have hardware and design features taken from the existing iPhone 6s. Also on tap is a new 9.7-inch ‘iPad Pro’, and possibly a refresh to Apple Watch band options.
Apple previously held an event on their campus back in October of 2014, where we saw the debut of the 27-inch Retina 5K iMac, iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3.
The March 21 special event is one day before Apple’s court hearing showdown with the U.S. government, over an order to hack an iPhone used by a terrorist in the San Bernardino shootings.
Alrighty folks, let’s figure out what products we see in this cryptic invite…GO!

Honestly, a smaller less better iPhone, when the 7 comes out a few months later?… M’kay… Personally I think it won’t see the light of day. Apple Watch bands. For sure. The invite has loop in it. If that’s not Apple Watch I don’t know what is. New iPad seems more likely then another iPhone. They will 100 percent talk about their security and the recent media events with FBI that’s for sure.
There’s a market for a smaller phone and we’ve seen parts leak. I’m sure we’ll see it. I’d be surprised if they talk about the FBI any further than a joke. They never mentioned Steve in an event after he passed.
Yeah, the FBI would be a very touchy subject. The most they’d probably do would be to allude to it through talking about security — talking about how the strength of it and why customers will appreciate it/
Yeah, that’s kinda what I meant. They won’t say FBI directly, but they certainly will bring up the subject of security. I still can’t wrap my head around this new phone though. Maybe I’m wrong. Until Apple announces it, I won’t believe the hype, or any leaks. Sometimes they turn into carefully planned rouses.. We will see.
C’moooon announcement for Apple Pay support being expanded to Visa, Mastercard, and Interac. Please!!
silly comment: ” just get a trip to Melbourne, AU. … and there you have your pretty better option to stay in the loop of the city ” ( if that’s what you want… going round and round and round and round, and never getting to a finished, completed individual ) marc
I have this 6 plus and a year and a half later I’m like O.O why do I have a massive phone? Going to get the smaller version next time. There is a huge market for the smaller sizes, glad Apple is embracing those.
I hope there’s an update to the Apple Watch and not just new bands. More sensors with biometrics would be great!
RE: the invite
I see a Venn diagram where the red section is our privacy and the orange section is what the FBI wants to see.
