Fido, Koodo, Virgin Promos: $60 with 2GB; $45 Gets Canada-Wide Minutes
Fido, Koodo and Virgin have launched new promo plans for customers, in what appears to be another simultaneous marketing move.
A new $60 per month plan with 2GB of data is now available, which offers unlimited Canada-wide minutes and unlimited messaging. This plan is similar to the previous $56/57 plan with 2GB data from a few years back, but data overages this time around cost more ($5/250MB).

Also new is the $45 plan with 1GB data we previously told you about—but gets 500 Canada-wide minutes now, instead of 200 local minutes and it’s available everywhere (not just in Ontario like before).
Again, you know the drill—if you’re on a previous plan that is not as good as these promos, call in and make the switch. No word on when these offers expire, but stay tuned.

Still stuck with Rogers for $95+tax 6gb unlimited Canada wide. For one more year. Hoping by then Wind/Shaw will come for the rescue with $39 unlimited everything Canada wide on LTE. Shaw you can charge $10 more per month okay for giving us LTE.
I dont know if its because of the Shaw Canle purchase but WIND mobile no long has unlimited data.

I dont think they’ll switch back to unlimited everything again.
The Virgin page says only for new or upgrading customers. How BYOD applies to upgrading, I don’t know. The $45 deal is similar to the $45 plan I already have except minutes are less and the data is more.
You can’t choose these deals through the website, but a quick 5 minute call later (including hold time) and I switched to the $45 plan. It’s identical to my old one but I’m more likely to use the increased data and I barely use 200 minutes per month (much less 750 on the old plan) so 500 is plenty.
