Apple has just released a companion app for its set-top box: Apple TV remote. The app can be used along with the physical remote every Apple TV comes with, but makes typing much easier and allows users to navigate the set-top box with gestures.
Thanks to the dedicated Apple TV remote app, you can now quickly enter text, email addresses and passwords: just swipe, and the keyboard appears. The list of features included in the first version of this app is below:
• Ask Siri to find something great to watch, listen to, or play
• Control the movie, TV show, or song that’s currently playing
• Play games using the accelerometer and gyroscope
• Turn on Game Mode for simplified game controls
The Apple TV Remote app requires an iDevice running iOS 9.3.2 or later and a Wi-Fi connection, and it is compatible with the Apple TV 2, Apple TV 3 and Apple TV 4. Download Apple TV Remote now, it’s free!
