According to a new report from NiagaraFalls Review, Novelty Store Poke PitStop is set to open a retail store in Niagara Falls, Ontario.

Downtown Niagara Falls is about to become a hot spot for Pokemon Go players because Poke PitStop is set to open at 4400 Queen Street on Sunday. The location will feature PokeStops and lures to attract players and Pokemon.

Poke PitStop will also offer players free Wi-Fi, charging stations, food, drinks, and Poke-merchandise. In a statement, one of the business’ owners Dustin Picov said:

“I just wanted an environment where people could go. It’s basically a gathering for players. Rather than meeting in various spots all over town … I figured just give people a spot to do this (and) with very low overhead costs, it makes sense.”

The business idea started after Picov launched a Facebook page about Pokemon Go, which gained approximately 14,000 likes within the first week. He said:

“The page, which is not associated with the official franchise, was created to be a fan club where people can post about the free-to-play, location-based augmented reality game that has taken the world by storm.

It’s one of those things that could be there today and it could be gone tomorrow. Who knows how successful Pokemon Go could be a month from now. I still feel like it’s going to be one of those things that’s going to be around for a while. I’ve always wanted to set up a business concept where it’s just kind of a little lounge for people … a place to go.”

Picov said that even though the store is meant to be a gathering place, he does not want players hanging around there for hours and hours on end. He said:

“(It’s) a place where they can go and then charge their phones, do whatever, and then go out with people around the city, get out there and actually play the game.”

If you are in Niagara Falls and you are a Pokemon Go player, be sure to check this place out!
