
Microsoft Office for iPhone Gets Finger Drawing Support
If you ever wanted to add finger drawn scribbles to your documents on the iPhone, today is your lucky day as Microsoft has just added finger drawing support to Office for iPhone, allowing users to highlight tidbits and add notes to their documents on the fly (via TechCrunch). Word, Excel and PowerPoint iOS apps have all been updated in the App Store with the new functionality.
To use the feature, simply tap the “Draw” tab within the updated Office apps, which will open a simplified page layout to let you draw on top of the text doc. You will see options for a pen line, highlighter and eraser, as well a number of different colors. The tool is also pressure sensitive, allowing you to create bolder lines by pressing your fingers down harder on the screen.
Excel and PowerPoint for iOS also let you draw on top of cells and slides respectively. You can grab the free updates using the following App Store links:
