Three of Apple’s PR Team Members Have Left to Join Tesla and Ford
Just as Apple has begun scaling back their automotive ambitions, key members of Apple’s PR team have left the company.
According to a report from The Verge, three of Apple’s communications staff have been lured away from the company by Ford and Tesla. The most prominent person to leave is Sarah O’Brien. During her time at Apple, O’Brien led communications for music, iPhone, and Apple Watch. Now she is joining Tesla as senior director of communications.
Colin Smith and Michaela Johndrow have also recently left the company to join Ford.
Apple has allegedly shifted gears on its car project after numerous setbacks. The company is now developing a self-driving software platform, according to the latest rumors and news reports.
