Sadly, that is the case. It is their Thanksgiving bonanza, we just jumped on the trend like everybody else 😛

In Canada the word “sale” is often replaced with the word “tax”.

The PureVPN link seems to be broken for me?

Gary

Fixed the link btw!

Testing it now with speedtest.net, using PureVPN’s ‘Stream’ mode for Netflix. Getting:

79ms ping
29-39Mbps down

I’m on Shaw Internet 150

Netflix USA loads…titles take a while to actually stream, but they do and no proxy message error!

Is the 2 year deal like a contract?

Yes. Cancel in 7 days if not happy. Private Internet access is often recommended but those in the west get poor speeds with them. But you are anonymous since PIA at this time doesn’t keep logs. That might change when Trump gets into office.

Thanks for replying. I guess if Gary’s 150 Mbps is capped to 40 Mbps, my 50 Mbps would be too slow to stream Netflix. I’ll pass.

On a side not, right wing leaders often tend to surprise us after taking over. In a good way.

I have PIA in Edmonton. Have used them for two years now and great speed here. Also as a bonus they DO NOT keep logs which for those who torrent is a safety feature.

Awesome, thanks for that mate! 🙂 Think I’ll take them up on the offer in that case.

Your speeds are atrocious. That’s almost a 70% hit. Definitely not acceptable to me.

I’m researching Pure VPN. Some comments say torrenting not permitted. You also need to know if they comply with dmca notices or keep logs. Their price for 2 years is $2.45 US a month or a $50 Canadian. Lol

Yeah I’ve not pulled the trigger yet as you have to jump through some hoops to get it working with Apple TV’s which we use a lot. But, as there’s a 7-day return policy, will still give it a go.

I bought PureVPN last night after hearing a lot of positive reviews. thankfully it’s working great for me.. I had some trouble in teh start while configuring but their support team was active enough to get me through.

Try NordVPN. Not sure about Netflix though as everyone got blocked. Thousands of servers to try though and awesome applications.

Get the Instant Pot. So worth it.

We already use our slow cooker a lot…is this another appliance that will end up in our cupboards?!

I bought mine this summer. Haven’t touched my slow cooker since. It also replaced my breadmaker (which I only use for dough anyway). For soups and stews and ribs, chicken wings… anything really. Stupid things like hardboiled eggs in 2 minutes, and even the freshest eggs peel no problem. Or even a cheescake, creme brulee, custard. I mean, this thing does it all. You do have to invest some time in it to learn it properly. I joined the Instant Pot FB group (last time I checked it had over 150,000 members), and I learned everything I needed there.

Mobile shop has the iPhone 7 32gb for $0?

Any more details on that?

Their website doesn’t share any details. Assuming it’s going to be on an expensive monthly plan. Will try to call and find out more.

Added a line to the Fido Account, 55$ (-10% discount) Pulse Plan, Unlimited Calling, Texting and 5GB of Data (3GB + 2GB for 24months)

Fido is offering iPad data plan for $15/3gb. And 200$ subsidy for a iPad Air 2 on a 2 year agreement. What do you guys think? Are there better deals out there if your in the market for an iPad with data plan?

Gary

That seems pretty decent–the $15/3GB plan is a good one.
