Apple Music Student Pricing Launches in Canada: $4.99/Month

Back in May, Apple launched student pricing for Apple Music, but not in Canada. Well, that has changed as of today, as student pricing for Apple Music has finally launched in Canada for $4.99 CAD per month, reports The Financial Post.

Apple is using UniDAYS to verify eligibility for student memberships, which checks your ongoing eligibility periodically. Student memberships will be available at a max of 48 months (a standard four year undergrad):

According to MacRumors, other countries with Apple Music Student pricing as of today includes: Austria, Belgium, Brazil, China, Chile, Colombia, Finland, France, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, the Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Switzerland, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, and the United Arab Emirates.

Spotify has a student plan at 50% off, but so far it is only available in the USA. With Apple introducing this pricing in Canada, you can bet Spotify will follow suit shortly.

Any students jumping on this? Combined with 20% off iTunes Cards from Costco (expired yesterday), your Apple Music membership will work out to $3.99 CAD per month. Other perks for students include 50% off Amazon Prime subscriptions at $39/year (up to four years).
