Last summer, Apple acquired exclusive rights to the viral segment “Carpool Karaoke” from The Late Late Show with James Corden. The new spinoff series would produce weekly 30-minute segments, featuring 16 celebrities.
Tonight during the 2017 Grammy Awards, Apple aired their first teaser for Carpool Karaoke. The new CBS-produced series will feature “16 celebrity pairings riding along in a car together as they sing tunes from their personal playlists and surprise fans who don’t expect to see big stars belting out tunes one lane over.”

It will feature celebrities such as: Will Smith, Billy Eichner, Metallica, Alicia Keys, John Legend, Ariana Grande, Seth MacFarlane, Chelsea Handler, Blake Shelton, Michael Strahan, John Cena, Shaquille O’Neal, and many more.
James Corden, along with Ben Winston, will be co-creators and executive producers of the show, with fellow executive producer and showrunner Eric Pankowski.
The series will debut soon, exclusively on Apple Music, in a bid to attract and retrain subscribers to the streaming music service.
