Freedom Mobile Launches New LTE Data Plans Starting from $30

Freedom Mobile customers can now choose from four data plans the carrier offers in the areas where it operates: Ontario, B.C. and Alberta. Previously, there was only one plan that provided LTE service, reports MobileSyrup.
It’s LTE offering was also simplified from six to four plans, offering data, talk and text. They range from $30 to $59. For $30 you get 250 MB of full-speed data; for $40, 2 GB of full-speed data, plus a 2 GB bonus (so in total 4 GB); for $49 you get 4 GB of full-speed data, plus a 2 GB bonus. The fourth offer, priced $59, is 6 GB of data and a 2 GB bonus. The bonus data is a limited-time promotion, MobileSyrup says, and is subject to change or cancellation at any time.
However, if you have chosen one of these plans or signed up on a Pay Before or Pay after line, you’ll get the bonus as long as you are active and “in a good standing on the promotional plan.”
The $49 and $59 data plans include an offer called “Away Network” for Canada and US roaming. The $59 data plan also includes 1 GB of full-speed data and 2400 minutes to talk to Canada and the US while roaming.
Will you jump on any of these plans?

I have a $59 corporate plan with Rogers, so I’d be hesitant to change considering they could change or cancel these plans at any time.
Your Rogers phone won’t work with Wind / Freedom anyway
250Meg at 35Mbps is 59 seconds of data use!
Isn’t it worth mentioning here – since this is iPhone in Canada blog – that Freedom Mobile LTE is not compatible with the iPhones?
This is correct. Current gen iPhones do not currently support LTE on freedom mobile.
Definitely worth mentioning!
