Turns Your Documents, Receipts into Editable PDFs with Adobe Scan for iOS

Adobe had today announced the launch of a new iOS app called ‘Adobe Scan’, which lets you convert your paper documents into digital, editable PDF files on the fly (via TechCrunch). What sets the Adobe Scan apart from the tons of scan-to-PDF apps already available on the App Store, is that it uses optical character recognition (OCR) to convert the printed text to digital text, which can then be searched, selected or edited in Acrobat Reader.

The free app, which has been designed to work with Adobe’s Document Cloud, doesn’t limit you on the number of pages you can scan nor does it downgrade the quality. The documents you scan in on mobile will be automatically uploaded to your Adobe Document Cloud account, allowing you to store them online and share with others. Acrobat DC subscribers can also edit and organize these scanned documents, collect signatures, and much more.

Hold the device over whatever you want to scan—forms, pictures, notes, receipts, business cards, even whiteboard discussions. Using Adobe’s advanced image technology, powered by Adobe Sensei, Adobe Scan automatically finds the edges of your document, then captures and cleans the image. Voila! You have a scanned image. You can now re-name your scan, add a photo, reorder pages, crop, rotate, or enhance it. But, that’s just the beginning…

You can download Adobe Scan for free using the following App Store link.
