2017 Amazon Prime Day in Canada Coming July 11; New iOS App Users Get $10

Amazon is so huge (yuuuugggeee) it gets to create its own shopping event, known as Prime Day. For 2017, Amazon has announced Prime Day will kick off on July 11th in Canada plus the US, the UK, Spain, Mexico, Japan, Italy, India, Germany, France, China, Belgium and Austria.

Prime day

The third annual Prime Day sale will see “hundreds of thousands of deals”, which are only available for paying Prime members. The sales will start on Monday, July 10 at 6PM PDT/9PM EDT, with new deals popping up about every five minutes.

Greg Greeley, Vice President Amazon Prime said in a press release, “Every side of our business is working to deliver more deals for a record number of shoppers. We even decided that 24 hours in a day just isn’t enough time to shop all of the great deals – so we’re giving Prime members 30 hours to shop on Prime Day!”

This year, Prime Day will show deals organized by over 15 of the post popular shopping themes, while users who sign into the Amazon iOS app for the first time on July 6, will get a $10 promo code towards shopping.

There’s also a Kindle promo, where users can get a 40% credit back towards their next print or eBook purchase, when they buy any eBook on Amazon on Prime Day.

Here’s a promo video Amazon made for Prime Day, showing a peek at their warehouse logistics:

We’ll be sure to provide you with a round up of all the worthwhile sales (there will be some gems and some duds again) on Prime Day, so stay tuned.

Of course, if you want to join in on the Prime Day fun, you need to sign up as a Prime member. The first 30 days are free, so you can join, shop and if you change your mind, it won’t cost you a cent. Students get 50% off Prime memberships, at $39.99.

In the past I’ve been deceived by Prime Day sales.
