INTERAC started experiencing a “technical difficulty” yesterday with its e-Transfers, and despite being restored yesterday, the problem has persisted this morning.

Users are seeing intermittent problems sending and receiving money. The problem is it’s the end of the month and lots of people are complaining they have bills to pay. Banks affected include Scotiabank, BMO, CIBC, TD Bank and Vancity Credit Union, to name a few, reports CBC News.

Update June 30, 9:39PM: INTERAC said an hour ago on Twitter “INTERAC e-Transfer remains offline. We will continue to work through the night to restore and we hope to have a positive update by 8am EST.”
