Esso launched their mobile pay-at-the-pump solution, Speedpass+ for iOS, back in March. Now, a targeted promo for American Express cardholders offers a $5 statement credit if you purchase $25 worth of gas, using your AMEX within the app.
Here’s how to get your $5 statement credit:
- Download the free Speedpass+ app and add your eligible American Express® Card.
- Already have the Speedpass+ app? Add your eligible American Express Card to your existing Speedpass+ account.
- Pay for gas using the app linked to your eligible American Express Card at participating Esso stations in Canada between August 2, 2017 and September 13, 2017.
- Earn a $5 Statement Credit after your first gas purchase of $25 or more using your eligible American Express Card linked to the Speedpass+ app!

Did that when they had the standard Speedpass promo, now i’ll do the same with the ap. thanks !
I used the app on Wednesday for the first time. Works fine but I find the physical SpeedPass much simpler to use. There’s also another promo within the SP+ app which gives you a 10$ gas reduction card (at 0,05$/L) if you do 3 fill ups within 90 days.
