D-Link Omna 180 HomeKit Camera No Longer Requires Home Hub for Live Viewing

The OMNA iOS app for the D-Link Omna 180 Cam HD has been updated to bring forth new features, along with fixing reported security issues, reads the update.

The app finally supports pinch-to-zoom, toggling on and off of night vision, downloading video clips and snapshots to Photos, plus remote live streaming and event notifications now work for users who do not have a Home Hub setup (Apple TV 4 or iPad).

Earlier this week, we told you Apple had dropped the price of the OMNA by 26%, down to $199.95 CAD on Apple.ca. The Omna 180 Cam HD is the first security camera to support HomeKit, announced earlier this year.
