iPhone X launches tomorrow and line ups have already formed at some Apple Stores in Canada. Apple previously announced retail stores would have limited iPhone X stock at launch and customers were encouraged to “arrive early.”
At the Apple Store in Burnaby, BC, at Metrotown Mall, there were already two people in line as of 6PM PST.
@iPhoneinCanada Metrotown in Burnaby only 2 people lining up. Sidney only had 400 tells me the larger lineups are gone from the glory days.

Moving out east, the Eaton Centre Apple Store in Toronto, had roughly 60 people in line as 9PM EST:

With online pre-orders and Reserve and Pick Up options, waiting in line for an iPhone isn’t as common (or fun!) as it used to be, or even necessary.

Lining up is fun…after doing it once and once only. Curious if line ups this time are again taken over by scalpers, like they have in the past in Vancouver.

not sure on exact numbers, but at chinook they only had 256 in silver, and ran out after like 6 people in line ( most people got 2 phones) then they ran out of the silver 64 half way thru the line. however they had tons of 64 black as people were still coming at 930 when I left and were able to get one. market mall was all sold out by 9am or so they told me when I called

I’m looking for updates on Guildford Apple store. Anyone able to keep me posted? I’m on graveyards and won’t be off work in Vancouver until 6:30am. Could be to guildford by 7am. Want to know lineup numbers and how many units they are saying they have (looking for a 256gb space grey). Just trying to save myself the commute after a long graveyard shift if it’s not worth it. I was wondering the same thing! I think the last time they gave everyone in line a wrist band with their place number on it so they could leave and come back. I could be wrong, but I do remember that… I have never waited in line personally.

Good luck! I hope there’s enough! I heard from the news in SF, thieves has robbed 300+ iPhones Xs from the Apple Store. I assume most Apple stores would have that kind of amount by gauging from this info. Fingers crossed
That 300 probably has to cover the reserved models as well. Also that’s a pretty big flagship store for them so I’m pretty sure they would get more inventory than the average store. I’m gonna guess that probably 100 of those max are for walk ins

I was at Guildford Mall with like 40-50 in line and they said they had no 256’s at all and that they weren’t sure if they would even have enough 64’s for the people in line. I only want 256 so I left.
Bad news for whoever lining up for the 256 models, their officially sold out and the first few got them. Only 64GB available

Yeah I came to try my luck. Lineup was huge all the way from store entrance all the way to the next mall entrance next to food court. I gave up and left.

Sorry for the late update. But they sold out around 8:30. They had less than 100. Only he first 40-50 got phones (cuz they all got 2 phones each).
On launch day apple has to do a 1 phone limit for people in line. This 2 phone limit sucks for lines up launch day people. It only promotes reselling.
Arrived @ 2am at Carrefour Laval, was 14th in line, left the line @ 7:30am after learning all they had available is space grey 64 Gb! Way to go Apple! Not even sure if the 1st one in line got a 256 Gb or a silver phone!! Big disappointment!

My husband was 28th in line at Square One Mississauga and they just announced all 256 are gone for what they had in stock. They had not even gotten to him to ask what he wanted.

Here. Line is small compared to previous years. But prob less stock too. So it’s a gamble for an hour.
They came out and said an Apple employee is processing the line to get a name and email and what you’re buying so that you’ll know if it’s in stock. Already at H&M now too since first of line is inside. Seems like a pretty decent chance for what should only be an hour in line before finding out if it pays off

My investment at that time was only about 20 min in the line, and now I can leave work a little early on a Friday! I got lucky with the reserve and pickup before, so will try that the next few days.

Fairview mall apple store sold out of all models ???
I’m with Fido on a BYOD plan (45$ 4GB). I would like to buy the IPX through Best buy. I have a 256 GB Silver reserved for me and going to the store this evening to buy it. My question is will i be able to use my fido dollars towards the full cost of the phone? Have anyone here used Fido dollars towards payment for an outright purchase at Best buy or Source? I called Fido and they are not sure if Best buy would let me use fido dollars. They have asked me to check with BB and no one in BB is sure too.
I’m planning on getting the phone using the Best buy credit card (24 equal payments, 0% intersest and no admin fee). Has anyone here bought the phone through financing?
