Days after the weekend release of iOS 11.2, Apple has pushed tvOS 11.2 for Apple TV 4 and Apple TV 4K owners.
Whereas U.S. customers now gain a Sports tab, this is not showing in Canada after the tvOS 11.2 update, and there’s no word on whether this feature will debut here.
For Apple TV 4K users, there’s a new Match Content option, which Apple says “We’ll use your selected display format to play content without alteration. We can also switch formats automatically to match the content’s dynamic range and frame rate.”
Match Dynamic Range and Match Frame Rate options are available. The former will “play content in its original dynamic range”, whereas the latter will “play film and international content at its original frame rate.”

I do not understand your response. Is this question not valid? and if not, what is your thoughts on the subject?
My question is, other than iTunes video what does atv even provide? I was an early tab adopter and loved it until I upgraded my TVs to 4K and then the built in Netflix, YouTube AND Amazon apps work perfectly and don’t require anything. I guess if you have those and more you wouldn’t need to browse through individual apps on the atv as the TV app is supposed join them all correct? Does the TV app have a “what you are watching” section so you can keep track of progress on shows and when new ones are added like android boxes do well via Trakt?
