McDonald’s Mobile Ordering Expands Nationwide Across Canada
McDonald’s launched their mobile ordering feature in late October, in a limited number of test cities (Edmonton, Hamilton, Quebec City), and later had a second round of expansion cites in November.
Fast forward to December, and it appears a nationwide roll out of the mobile ordering service via the MyMcD’s iOS app is complete, as our quick search of major cities across Canada now shows mobile ordering is possible.
This now includes Victoria, Vancouver, Regina, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Toronto, Montreal, Fredericton, and St. John’s to name a few cities.
Users looking to place a mobile order will require to register an account, then add either a Visa, Mastercard or American Express card for payment. There’s no in-app Apple Pay payment option yet.
The addition of mobile ordering from McDonald’s lets the fast food chain keep up with other companies such as Starbucks and more recently Tim Hortons, as both of these places also have mobile options in place.
