iOS 11.2.5 Released for Download, Along with watchOS 4.2.2, tvOS 11.2.5 [u]

Apple has just released iOS 11.2.5 for download, along with watchOS 4.2.2, available over-the-air for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users. Last week, Apple released a seventh beta of iOS 11.2.5 for developers to test, signalling the final release was imminent.

This update includes bug fixes and security improvements, including a remedy for the ‘malicious link’ bug discovered recently, which would crash and freeze the Messages app. Apple had promised a fix was coming this week and here it is.

The update is not showing up yet in Canada, but should appear any minute.

Update 10:22AM PST: The update is now showing on our iPhone X in Canada, and is 178MB in size. The update says it adds support for HomePod and Siri to “read the news”, but of course only in the US, UK and Australia:

…refresh for updates

On the subject of throttling, seems battery for iPhone 6 plus are out of stock until Feb/March, as per an e-mail I received from Apple when I attempted to order a battery for installation at an Apple store.
