Amazon’s Deal of the Day right now has their 16GB Fire HD 8 Tablet on sale for 30% off at $69.99 CAD, which includes free shipping for Prime members.
The Fire HD 8 tablet has 12 hours of battery life, an 8-inch HD display, all powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and 1.5GB of RAM. The tablet supports stereo speakers with Dolby Audio, while there is an expandable storage slot to support up to 256GB. The front-facing camera is only 2MP but the rear shooter can take 720P HD videos.
Amazon’s description says this tablet is “More durable than the latest iPad,” but doesn’t provide any links to back up the claim.
The Fire HD 8 tablet at this price is definitely an “impulse buy” as it’s a cheaper tablet to use for your kids, if you’re not ready to jump on Apple’s new iPad announced today.
