AirPods Max 2 Deal Saves $190, Plus Bonus $100 Gift Card

Staples Canada has Apple’s AirPods Max 2 with USB-C for $609.99 CAD for Preferred members, or $649.99 CAD for everyone else, plus a $100 Staples gift card on purchases of $500 CAD or more. That brings the effective Preferred Member price to about $509.99 CAD.

AirPods Max 2 retail for $799 CAD from Apple Canada, so the deal works out to nearly $300 CAD off when factoring in the gift card.

The deal, spotted on RFD, is available as of October 2. Checks of in-store stock by iPhone in Canada show limited availability, with some stores listing only 1 to 3 sets.

The $100 Staples gift card can be used on a future purchase, so buyers will need to shop at Staples again to get the full value of the promotion.

One buyer notes the product page may show $625.99 CAD for Preferred members before dropping to $609.99 CAD in the online cart. In-store, the Preferred price is $625.99 CAD, though staff can price match the online price if you ask.

Non-members can still buy the headphones for $649.99 CAD and receive the same $100 gift card. After factoring in the gift card, this is one of the lowest prices we have seen for AirPods Max 2.

Staples Preferred is a free program aimed at small and medium-sized businesses. You can apply online by choosing “Apply for a Preferred Account” on the Staples account page. Once approved, Preferred pricing appears automatically online when using the same email address. In-store, customers can provide the email tied to their account. Staples Preferred is separate from Preferred Select, the paid tier that costs $99 CAD per year.

AirPods Max 2 are Apple’s flagship over-ear headphones and use USB-C for charging. They feature active noise cancellation and are designed around Apple’s premium wireless audio experience. The USB-C model replaced the earlier Lightning version, making it more convenient for anyone already using USB-C cables with newer Apple devices.

The effective $509.99 CAD price only makes sense if you expect to use the $100 Staples gift card later, so buyers should also confirm the final price in their cart before ordering.

For anyone already planning another Staples purchase, this is a strong AirPods Max 2 deal as more October tech deals arrive.
