It looks like that much-needed “new design” is coming to the Gmail web interface, along with a bunch of new features.
According to tips received from current G Suite administrators (via TechCrunch), this updated experience includes a “new design for the Gmail web interface.”
As per the emails recieved by the G Suite administrators, the redesign will feature easier access to Calendar, ability to Smart Reply to emails, the option to snooze emails and choose when they reappear, as well as offline support. According to Google, the offline support will be native and arrive in June 2018.

We first learned about these changes way back in September, and while the company is yet to reveal how the new design actually looks, it shouldn’t look too different from last year’s leak that revealed the design. Check it out at the top of the page.
Google will be releasing the new Gmail as part of a beta program, the Early Adopter Program, or EAP for short. EAP will be available to G Suite users in the coming weeks, and it will likely take a few months before the new Gmail is available to all users.

I hope these improvements are better than their youTube “improvements” for Apple TV and Android TV.
Haha. Yet no automatic sorting of emails based on date, subject, or sender, etc.
Google should stick with search engines and maps, even the latter isn’t very feature or user friendly like saving places, especially for offline map use.
Maybe they can put gmail on trash and invest more money in Inbox ? (still waiting for the iphoneX version)
