Apple Canada Offers $64 iPhone Out-of-Warranty Battery Replacement Credit

Apple Canada announced this morning it is offering a credit for customers who paid for an out-of-warranty battery replacement on their iPhone 6 or later, from January 1, 2017 to December 28, 2017.

For Canadians, the credit will be $64 CAD (it’s $50 in the USA), and will apply to “eligible battery replacements were completed at an Apple authorized service location — Apple Store, Apple Repair Center, or an Apple Authorized Service Provider,” explains the company in an email.

Apple says the $64 CAD credit will be applied as an electronic funds transfer or credit back to a credit card used to pay for battery replacements.

How to get your credit? Apple says eligible customers should check them emails between May 23, 2018 and July 27, 2018, which will detail instructions on how to acquire the credit.

Apple says if you do not receive an email by August 1, 2018, and you believe you should be eligible, contact the company by December 31, 2018. Proof of service at an Apple authorized service location may be required.

For those who paid for in-warranty iPhone battery replacements, they are not eligible.

Back on December 28, 2017, Apple announced a discounted out-of-warranty battery replacement ($35 instead of $99) for those with an iPhone 6 or later, good to the end of 2018.
