The first iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max pre-orders in Canada have moved into the “preparing to ship” phase, a change made yesterday evening.
After the “preparing to ship” phase is “shipped”, where iPhones will usually be shipped to the nearest UPS warehouse and put on hold until the iPhone XS launch date of September 21.

It’s also worth noting Apple has a new status page for orders, showing a timeline of the order process, to go with your order number and name of the person the phone is being delivered to. Any changes to the order will again require customers to sign in.
As of writing, all iPhone XS Max models on Apple.ca are showing shipping dates beyond the September 21 launch date–now showing October 3-11–suggesting the larger model was the popular device to acquire this fall, compared to iPhone XS.
Has your iPhone XS or iPhone XS Max pre-order moved into the “preparing to ship” phase yet?
