TELUS appears to be texting some customers with an “exclusive data offer”, detailing add-ons of 3GB or 10GB data for $10 or $25 per month, respectively.
The text messages were received by some TELUS customers on the RFD forums. The messages read:
TELUS Offer: We have an exclusive data offer just for you. Get 3GB of data for only $10/month or 10GB for $25/month. Hurry, offer ends 2018-10-29
To purchase 3GB for $10/month reply MORE OR
To purchase 10GB for $25/month reply DATA
This offer is only valid for 24 months, according to TELUS.
Back in August, TELUS offered a similar data promo for their flanker brand customers at Koodo, with 3GB for $10 per month offered, along with 10GB for $15 per month. The TELUS promo above appears to charge $25 for 10GB instead of $15.
The price point of $10 for 3GB data per month appears to be a popular offering from Canada’s wireless carriers. Last week, Fido offered 3GB for $10 to select customers via their Xtra perks program.
