Walmart Canada iOS App to Launch Grocery Pickup for Windsor

Walmart Canada has announced customers in Windsor, Ontario, will soon get its Grocery Pickup service this week, as it launches on November 15th.

With Walmart’s Grocery Pickup service, orders can be placed with the company’s iOS app or the web for store pick up, a free service for orders of at least $50 before taxes.

“The Walmart Grocery Pickup service is very popular in Ontario and we are so excited to bring this free service to customers in Windsor to save them valuable time – and money,” said Daryl Porter, vice president of omni-channel operations and online grocery, Walmart Canada, in a statement. “We continue to improve, expand and grow our services for our customers from coast-to-coast.”

Walmart also recently expanded mobile check-in, which alerts associates when a customer is on their way, and with 10 minutes to go, will prep an order to be picked up at designated parking spots. Walmart confirmed to iPhone in Canada the Windsor location will support mobile check-in.

Grocery Pickup will debut on Thursday, November 15 at the Windsor East Walmart Supercentre, located at 7100 Tecumseh Road East.
