SaskTel Expands interNET Extended 25 Service in Rural Saskatchewan

SaskTel has announced its interNET Extended 25 service has reached more communities in rural Saskatchewan.

With interNET Extended 25, customers in 19 additional communities will gain access to download speeds of up to 25 Mbps, which is “the fastest SaskTel has ever offered in rural areas.”

“Reliable internet access is increasingly important to driving a successful and efficient economy,” said Don Morgan, Minister Responsible for SaskTel, in an issued statement. “I am pleased with the progress SaskTel continues to make to enhance the internet service available in our rural communities.”

SaskTel says in less than one year, interNET Extended 25 has expanded its reach to over 100 rural communities. Doug Burnett, SaskTel President and CEO said, “This upgraded service will allow residents to enjoy its many benefits including faster download speeds.”

Earlier this week, SaskTel’s interNET Extended 10 service expanded to 25 Indigenous and northern communities.
