Netflix Testing New “Random Episode” Option

As reported by the folks over at Android Police, select Netflix users are being offered to randomly select something to watch.

Spotted first in the Android app v7.6.0 build 19 34157, users who opt to watch something random on Netflix are also seeing a shuffle icon with a “Random Episode” label (see below).

As of now, it is not yet known whether this is just an experiment or if we’ll see this roll out to a wider batch of people soon. If Netflix does, however, roll the option out to all users, it may come in handy in those situations when you come home from work or a day out and you just want to plop down on the couch and turn on the TV.
